Portland Community Football Club Partners with Portland Thorns and Alaska Airlines for the 2025 Season

Portland, OR – Portland Community Football Club (PCFC) is proud to announce a landmark partnership with Portland Thorns FC and Alaska Airlines for the 2025 season. This collaboration aims to highlight community engagement and make soccer more accessible for youth players and families, while fostering growth, learning, and opportunities at every level of the sport.

The partnership will provide youth athletes and their families with essential support in traveling to key tournaments, as well as the opportunity to explore collegiate pathways through soccer. Alaska Airlines is playing a critical role by offering 25,000 Miles for every goal the Portland Thorns score at home. These flights for youth and families, will support and ensure that financial barriers do not prevent participation in important opportunities, college exploration, and tournaments across the nation.

Additionally, the partnership will include a special “Play and Learn” program, bringing college coaches into the fold to work directly with PCFC players. This initiative will offer athletes valuable coaching experiences, collegiate insights, and a chance to sharpen their skills while learning about higher education and potential opportunities at the next level.

This collaboration is about more than just soccer; it’s about fostering a community where everyone has the opportunity to grow, explore, and achieve, regardless of background or financial circumstance.”

Portland Thorns F.C. has also generously provided PCFC with 75 tickets and donated merch to the home opener on March 21, 2025. This exciting opportunity allows our youth athletes to be inspired and gain a firsthand look at the possibilities within professional soccer. With both organizations serving as pillars of excellence in the soccer community, this collaboration will leave a lasting impact, inspiring future generations to pursue their dreams and elevate their passion for the game. Alaska Airlines is excited to support the initiative, emphasizing its commitment to connecting communities and providing opportunities for families to participate in impactful events.
