In the last year, the PCFC brought together community leaders, public servants, and sports leaders around the country to share the pitfalls of the pay-to-play system and how we can team up with organizations to push back. Now, in 2025, we are diving into a deeper conversation around PCFC's main pillars of access, belonging, and opportunity - and what is happening specifically here in our hometown. Being known as Soccer City, USA, and with the Men's World Cup and WNBA coming in 2026, we know the importance of this year is to inform and provide our leaders and sports advocates with tools, information, and and an action plan on how we can provide more accessible play, who are our partners, and why sports are vital to our neighborhoods and communities.

Our mission is to provide our city with information about what PCFC and other youth organizations face in terms of access to sports in Portland. We will share PCFC’s models and have a panel discussion with Q&A’s with other Portland youth sports and community organizations who are focused on access, belonging, and opportunities. We will then finish the evening with direct actions you can take to support this greater cause for sports equity and access.
