Happy Pride Month!

MESSAGE FROM KAIG

As a proud queer, transgender leader I speak often about the ways that sports saved my life as a young person. Sports gave me purpose and an outlet to deal with stress, anxiety, and pain. My first identity was as an athlete and I've dedicated my life to creating belonging for athletes of all gender identities.

PCFC stands in solidarity with LGBTQ+ individuals and youths' right to live freely as they are, even during the ongoing struggle of discrimination and injustice.

PCFC is one of the first youth competitive soccer clubs across the nation to openly encourage and support LGBTQ+ players, coaches, and families. We hear from our LGBTQ+ players things like, "Everyone at PCFC was accepting and kind and immediately used the correct name and pronouns. It was really nice (and still is) to be in an environment I feel safe in."

At a time when sports are under the threat of being less inclusive PCFC is making sure that youth of all identities experience the safety to be themselves so they can reach their athletic dreams!
