Jerika Ferguson

Interim Executive Director, Portland Community Football Club

Jerika brings over a decade of experience in the nonprofit and public sectors to her role as Interim Executive Director of Portland Community Football Club (PCFC). With a lifelong connection to soccer, Jerika believes that PCFC is at the heart of what soccer is and will become.

"Our success cannot be individualized; just like in our communities, neighborhoods, and for our youth athletes—success grows when access is open, belonging is universal, and opportunities are shared."

Her journey began on the sidelines, cheered on by her family, and led to competitive play in the Women’s Premier Soccer League by age 20. Jerika’s personal and professional experiences have fueled her passion for using soccer as a vehicle for youth access, belonging, and opportunity.

Jerika's professional background includes significant work in fundraising and development. While working with Tribal Tech, LLC and Global Impact, she supported the U.S. Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM) Combined Federal Campaign, gaining valuable expertise in campaign management, donor relations, and strategic development. Her time working with Washington State’s Office of the Secretary of State and the Combined Federal Campaign further honed her ability to build partnerships and secure critical funding for mission-driven initiatives, ensuring the sustainability of essential programs and services. Jerika has also contributed to successful development strategies that supported both public and private sector projects.

In addition to her fundraising and development work, Jerika has coached youth soccer, where she has focused on fostering a supportive environment for athletes to learn, grow, and develop vital life skills. A proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, Jerika serves as a subcommittee member for Portland Region’s Habitat for Humanity and is also a member of the Oregon State University Supply Chain and Logistics Management Advisory Council. Holding an MBA in Supply Chain and Logistics from Oregon State University, she is committed to applying her business acumen and nonprofit expertise to advance PCFC’s mission. Jerika is passionate about ensuring equitable access to soccer, giving every youth athlete in Portland the opportunity to succeed both on and off the field.

Jerika joined PCFC in 2022.
